Intense Liner Trick

Love the intensity of gel liners but you’re not ready to spend a lot on them just yet? This is one of the oldest tricks in the book and how makeup artists made gel liners back in Old Hollywood. Get your favorite eyeliner pencil and a lighter ready for this technique!

1. Hold the tip of the pencil in the flame for one quick second only.

2. Wait 15 seconds for the pencil to cool down. Test it at the back of your hand to see if it’s ready to touch your eyes just yet.

3. Roll it a little on the back of your hand to mold and keep the tip pointed while it’s becoming a solid again.

4. Enjoy the deep color on your upper or lower lashline. Do both altogether with a sweep of the color on your waterline as well to exude an intense stare. This is also perfect if you want an intense smudge for a bold smokey eye!
