‘Maring’ Maintains Strength
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said tropical storm “Maring” has maintained its strength as it moves northward.
In its weather bulletin issued on Tuesday, Pagasa said the eye of the storm, as of 10 am, was seen at the 595 km East Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes. Maring’s maximum winds was 95 KPH near the center and gustiness of up to 120 KPH. It is forecast to move north at 19KPH.
“It is expected to be at 460 km Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes (Wednesday) morning. By Thursday morning, it is expected to be at 560 km Northwest of Itbayat, Batanes or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility,” Pagasa said.
Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific on Tuesday cancelled some of its flights due to typhoon Maring. The cancelled flights includes the following:
