Accessibility Center on Wheels

Accenture has introduced the Accessibility Center on Wheels project that aims to bring assistive technology solutions right to the homes of their people with disabilities in the Philippines.

The Accessibility Center on Wheels is a compact, mobile accessibility solutions suite that will be piloted in Metro Manila.

Through the Accessibility Center on Wheels, Accenture Philippines’ employees with disabilities will be able to access an array of personalized assistive technologies such as headsets, talk-to-text keyboards, glasses, among other equipment, in the comfort of their homes.

Pioneered by Accenture’s facilities in the Philippines last 2019, the Accessibility Center on Wheels is the latest development within the Accessibility Center initiative.

“The Accessibility Center on Wheels demonstrates how we are constantly innovating solutions that will enable our people with disabilities with best-fit technologies to help them achieve their potential and succeed. When we are able to provide a barrier-free work environment for our people, we leave no one behind and that is the power of inclusive innovation,” said Rudy Guiao, Special Executive Advisor to Accenture Global Accessibility Center and Head of Information Technology for ASEAN and Greater China.

Support for LGBTQ+ community

Accenture PH continues to support the LGBTQ+ community in Accenture. The company introduced new health benefits for its transgender people in the country. The benefits include reimbursement for various surgical and non-surgical interventions for those employees diagnosed with gender dysphoria.

“We recognize the need to support the holistic well-being of our transgender community so that they can be their best true selves at work. Having this benefit brings even more value to our continuing and intensified programs to accelerate equality for all. Through these practices, we empower our people and give them the space to be seen, heard, and succeed,” said Ira Reyes, Country Human Resources Managing Director, Accenture in the Philippines.

Accenture Receives Great Place at Work® certificate

“This certification is a testament of our passion and commitment to our people. We create a truly human work environment of growth and innovation that inspires our people to make a positive impact and bring value to our clients and communities,” said Lito Tayag, Country Managing Director, Accenture in the Philippines.

Accenture PH said it will continue to improve and innovate ways to create an inclusive and diverse workspace for its employees. Creating a community within the workspace environment.
