PRC Provides Water Supply to Odette Victims in Cebu

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) helped improve water access to the areas hit by typhoon Odette in Cebu.

PRC Cebu Chapter Deployed trucks containing 5000 liters each to the different barangays in Cebu City namely Sitio Laray and Sitio Socorro, in Kamputhaw, and Sitio Fatima in Brgy. Apas.

PRC Lapu-Lapu Chapter also plans to deploy water trucks in the different areas of the city. These areas include Pusok Elementary School Evacuation Center and in Sitio Sta. Maria Brgy. Pusok, Lapu-Lapu.

The chapter also set up a first aid station and a welfare desk to cater to those staying in the evacuation center in Brgy. Ibo, Pusok, and Brgy. Buaya.

As of writing, about 614,750 liters of water were distributed by PRC Cebu Chapter while PRC Lapu-Lapu has distributed 65,000 liters of water to Typhoon Odette victims. (ASC)
