More Help Arrive for Cebu’s Power Restoration
More help in the form of additional manpower and equipment arrived in Cebu as the Dagupan Electric Corporation (Decorp) sent eight personnel along with equipment for the power restoration effort in the province amid the destruction caused by typhoon Odette.
Decorp legal counsel and spokesperson lawyer Randy Castilan told state-owned Philippine News Agency in a phone interview that their team was already in the province since December 23, and will have an extended stay in Cebu as the situation calls for their service.
Castilan added that the extension is due to the extent of damage in Cebu.
He also added that three articulated vehicles and trucks were sent along with the eight personnel.
Moreover, more electric companies are helping with the power restoration efforts in Cebu as Angeles Electric Corporation, Iligan Light and Power Incorporated, Tarlac Electric Incorporated, and San Fernando Electric Light and Power Company have sent help for the line repairs and power restoration efforts in the Visayas region.
