Laguna Lotto Bettor Becomes 3rd Millionaire in December

Another day, another Lotto winner as a lone bettor from Laguna won the PHP83-million jackpot of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw held Friday night, marking the third time a lone bettor bagged the jackpot prize.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said in an advisory Saturday that the lone bettor who purchased the ticket in the City of Santa Rosa, Laguna who won with the combination 33-27-18-42-03-23, will bag in PHP83,757,220.

53 other individuals bagged PHP32,000 each as they guessed five out of the six-digit winning combination, while 2,982 bettors will each bag PHP1,000 for being able to guess four of the six digits.

Another 35,812 bettors also won PHP30 each for guessing three of the six digits.

The winners of PHP10,000 shall be subject to a 20-percent final tax as per the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law. (GFB)
