The Cebu City government has decided to disallow children under 15 years old and below inside supermarkets and grocery stores starting November 22, 2021.

Cebu City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) said that they already had a meeting with supermarket and grocery store managers and agreed on banning children in that age group inside their establishments.

Cebu City Councilor Joel Garganera, who is also the head of the city’s EOC, said that the limited space of a supermarket and grocery store is conducive for COVID-19 transmission.

However, children are still allowed to enter other establishments such as malls.

Meanwhile, the city has also started the vaccination against COVID-19 for children ages 12 to 17 last Monday, November 15, 2021. (ASC)
