Animation Industry Gets Support From CCCI

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Animation Council of the Philippines Inc. (ACPI) ties up to develop the animation industry in Cebu.

Both parties signed a memorandum of agreement to formalize their cooperation to develop the creative entertainment industry, specifically animation.

In CCCI’s part, the chamber will hold activities to help promote the creative entertainment sector.

The chamber also aims to promote Cebu as the premier destination for the development, sale, and distribution of animation products in Asia.

Meanwhile, ACPI will also develop artists, animators, and relevant talents by providing training and opportunities to increase the competitiveness of the animation industry in Cebu.

With this collaboration, both parties target to contribute 10% of the Philippines creative industry and also aims to yield around P500 million in revenue in Cebu alone. (ASC)
