Cebu City Cleanup Collect Over 67,000 Kgs of Trash
Cebu City’s latest cleanup drive on major waterways has collected over 67,000 Kilograms of garbage.
The Coastal Management Task Force (CMTF) said that they collected 67,940 kilograms of garbage in total.
Of the total collected garbage, 36,490 kgs were collected from the city’s northern barangays, 27, 150 kgs were collected in the city’s southern barangays, and 4,300 kgs were collected by the Department of Public Services (DPS).
CMTF also reported that the garbage collected was composed of 50% wood, plants, and mud, 40 % were plastics, and 10% were residuals. (ASC)
