Islands Souvenirs Ties up with Save Philippine Seas
As part of its corporate social responsibility (csr), Cebu-based clothing brand Islands Souvenirs tied up with Save Philippines Seas on Wednesday by committing to sell customized t-shirts and donate the proceeds to said environment organization.
Josh Eballe, Islands Souvenirs CDR head, said it is always the company’s goal to do things for the environment and that a huge portion of their social responsibility efforts are actually dedicated to it. Eballe showed to the media their four T-shirts with “The Philippines is worth diving for” designs, which are sold for P229.75 each. He said 15 percent of the proceeds goes to the Malapascua Arts and Science Festival, a project initiated by the Save Philippine Seas.
Anna Oposa of Save Philippine Seas said the funds gained from the project will be used in helping the children of Malapascua island educated on environment and other eco-friendly activities in the area.
