Cebu City Administered Doses at 97K

The Cebu City government recently announced the total number of administered doses, along with the number of first doses, and second doses administered, respectively.

The released numbers were recorded from when the vaccination in the city started on March 24, 2021, until June 25, 2021.

97,002 total administered doses for the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines were recorded by the Cebu City Vaccination Operations Center (VOC). At the same time, VOC also recorded 71,325 first dose vaccines administered, and 25,677 second dose vaccines administered.

However, the vaccination drive of Cebu City is not without setbacks, as the city government also announced that on June 28, 2021, no vaccinations were held on all vaccination sites as the city awaited new deliveries of vaccines.

Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella said that he is in constant talks with Vaccine Czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. and assured the public that the city is one of the priorities of. the national vaccination rollout.

Sinovac and Moderna doses recently arrived in the city as vaccinations now continue.

The city will also open new vaccination sites in Barangay Bonbon gym, and Don Bosco Technical School in Barangay Punta Princesa.

The city also recently opened a vaccination facility in Barangay Cambinocot yesterday. (GFB)
