Minglanilla Launches National Women’s Month Celebration

The town of Minglanilla in southern Cebu launched the National Women’s Month Celebration Yesterday, March 17, where various women group and organization leaders were given recognition.

Dubbed as “Juana Laban sa Pandemya, Kaya!,” The recognition and award were handed over as a token of appreciation to all women that plays a big role in the society especially during the pandemic.

Helen Resuelo, Liza Madalara, Hermela Canedo, Lucianoa Laspuna, Ma. Azucena Simene, Abe Sta Maria, Mary Pansit, Sarah Dayoha, Marivic Baritua, Michelle Villarin, Rosario Paragoso, Rosita Zabal, Imelda Bastida, Edith Sellote, Rosalina Amazona, and Baby Rose Paran were awarded by the local government.

Meanwhile, President of the Association of Barangay Councils (ABC) Jennifer Lariosa said that women empowerment is all about helping each other. Lariosa added that women empowerment does not not mean that they are superior over men. (MLC)
