Cheers to Ten Years: MIND 7 Celebrates Its 10th Year

Today marks the 10th year of National Nutrition Council Region 7’s media network, Media Information Network for Nutrition and Development (MIND 7), held at Solea Mactan Resort, Mactan Island Cebu on November 27, 2020.

Celebrating their 10th anniversary, MIND 7 reemphasizes their purpose to bring relevant and timely nutritional information in Central Visayas.

NNC 7 Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Dr. Parolita A. Mission thanked all MIND 7 officers and members for their support and contributions.

“The National Nutrition Council Region VII is always grateful to all the officers and members of MIND 7 who always go along way with their generous contributions to disseminate relevant and accurate nutrition information to all the Boholanos, Cebuanos, Negrenses and Siquijudnons,” Mission said.

MIND7 sets their eyes on the future by achieving its goal of improving the regional situation by promoting better health and nutrition behavior.

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, MIND 7 has also adapted to the new normal by utilizing more online platforms aside from the traditional media in disseminating crucial nutrition information on different issues and solutions to nutrition problems especially on the prevalence of stunting in the region.

These efforts intend to reach more people and remind them of the important nutritional messages of addressing stunting and help contribute to the positive change to the region. (ASC)
