Woman Reproducing Cebu City ECQ Passes Arrested

LET THIS BE A WARNING TO EVERYONE.

A woman was arrested, Monday, March 30, 2020, after she was caught reproducing copies of the green Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) pass that the City Government is distributing to its residents.

The woman was identified as Rowena Sarsalejo, 38 years old, a resident of the Municipality of Sibonga, who is currently living at F. Gonzales St., Cebu City.

A Cebu City Hall employee caught Sarsalejo reproducing copies at a photocopy shop near Cebu City Hall.

Sarsalejo said she photocopied her ECQ pass so she would have a reserve in case she loses her pass.

Sarsalejo will be facing a criminal case after she violated Section 7 of Executive Order No. 065 issued by Mayor Edgar Labella, which prohibits the unauthorized reproduction or use of the ECQ pass.

The owner of the photocopy shop was also arrested for operating her business without the necessary permits from the City. (Cebu City PIO)
