Senator Bong Go Visits Suba Fire Victims

Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong Go” visits fire victims of the recent fire incident in Barangay Suba, Cebu City.

Senator Go arrived in Barangay Suba on Friday, February 28, where people are waiting to see him.

Cash and relief assistance were handed over to the fire victims.

“Mao ng ni agi ko karon diri para muhatag ug gamayng hinabang ug makabilin man lang ug konting kasiyahan sa panahon sa ilang kagool,” said Go.

Different government agencies were also present as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Philippine Amusement and Gamin Corporation (PAGCOR) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) distributed their respective assistance.

Meanwhile, the Senator reminded everyone to keep safe all the time.

“Ingat ha intawon palihug lang, naki hangyo lang gyud ko sa atong mga kaigsoonan nga dili magpataka ug luto ug unsa pa diha ky daghan kaayog madamay, looy kaayo atong mga silingan,” said Go.

More than 200 houses were razed by fire and left 603 families homeless brought by the fire incident in the mentioned area on the night of February 26. (MLC)
