Barangay Tejero Organizes Fun Run

Barangay Tejero in Cebu City will be having the “Takbo, Iwas Droga Fun Run 2020” to primarily help drug surrenderees and other individuals who are under a plea bargain agreement.

The activity will be on March 22, 2020, Sunday at the Robinsons Galleria Cebu. The fun run route is still being finalized.

The mentioned fun run is part of the barangay’s effort on the campaign against illegal drugs.

The fun run also serves as a fund-raising activity to have more funds for further drug recovery programs in the future.

“Ang pag initiate nato ani is ang pagsuporta sa barangay sa mga programa kontra droga. Ang mahipos nga funds aning atong fun run mao nay gamiton sa mga drug recovery programs in the future,” said Randy Gorion, Barangay Tejero Councilor and Chairman on Committee on Health.

Barangay Tejero partnered up with JCI Metro Cebu Uptown and Robinsons Galleria Cebu to make the activity possible.

“Nakig partner ta ana atong mga sponsors ug posible pana siyang madugangan depende sa dagan sa negotiation,” Gorion added.

There are 3 categories, the 3k, 10k, and 21k run on which winners will receive different prizes and awards. Participants who want to join the 3k run will have to pay P350 for the registration fee, P500 for 10k run and P700 for the 21k run.

The 3k run will commence at 5:15 a.m., 10k at 5:00 a.m. and 21k at 4:30 a.m.

Winners on the 3k and 10k run will receive a certificate while winners of the 21k run will also receive a certificate and a finisher medal.
