Philippine Airlines and the Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) announced the revival of the Cebu-Los Angeles flight soon.

The “no stop-over” flight from Mactan Cebu International Airport Terminal 2 to Los Angeles International Airport (vice versa) will start on May 2, 2020. People from the Visayas especially from Cebu will now have easy access to travel directly to the United States.

The flight revival also gives pride to Cebuanos since MCIA has passed the aviation security standards set by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) of the U.S Department of Homeland Security.

The revival is said to contribute to the growth of the tourism industry which is one of the main economic drivers of the region making Cebu the tourism capital of the Philippines.

Meanwhile, MCIA Terminal 2 recently won the top prize in the Completed Buildings – Transport category during the World Architecture Festival held in the Netherlands last December. (MLC)
