CGPA Welcomes Visit of JUSMAG Chief, Us Army Attaché
The Joint Military Assistance Group (JUSMAG-Philippines) Chief and the United States Army Attaché pay a courtesy call to the Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Gilbert I. Gapay here today, January 7.
Said call served to strengthen the military relationship between the two parties through the upcoming activities this year.
JUSMAG Chief Col. Stephen Ma and US Army Attaché Col. Craig Tippins discussed with Gapay the visit of U.S. Secretary of the Army Ryan D. McCarthy and U.S. Army Pacific Commander General Paul La Camera later this month.
On the other hand, Gapay and other Army senior leaders mentioned the addition of the newly activated Aviation Regiment, Air Defense, and Missile units as part of the upcoming Salaknib and Balikatan Exercises to develop the command’s defense capabilities.
“The Philippine Army continues to forge its bilateral ties with its military counterparts as it plays a vital role to strengthen our forces in safeguarding the nation and serving the Filipino people,” said Army Spokesperson Lt. Col. Ramon P. Zagala. (Philippine Army PR)
