Catch MMFF 2019 Highlights Exclusively on Facebook Watch

Viva Entertainment and Facebook teamed up to bring the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) exclusively on Facebook Watch!

Catch the Parade of Stars on December 22 and the Gabi ng Parangal Red Carpet on December 27 live on the Viva Entertainment Facebook Page. Fans can also host their own Watch Party with friends and get an immersive MMFF experience–they can all react and comment in real time.

“Sa loob ng 45 years na indinaraos ang MMFF, ito ang unang pagkakataon na mapapanood ng ating mga kababayan ang MMFF highlights sa Facebook Watch. Masaya kaming ibahagi ang MMFF highlights sa ating mga kababayan, para mapanood nila ito nang live at libre, nasaan man sila sa mundo,” said Danny Lim, Over-all Chairman, Metro Manila Film Festival.

This year’s MMFF entries include the local remake of hit South Korean dramedy Miracle in Cell No. 7 starring Aga Mulach, Bela Padilla, and promising young actress Xia Vigor; the Vic Sotto and Maine Mendoza vehicle Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity; Vice Ganda-starrer The Mall, The Merrier; Carmina Villaroel and Mylene Dizon’s horror flick Sunod; action film 3pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon with Coco Martin and Jennylyn Mercado; Iza Calzado’s film about the former leper colony Culion; the live-action and animation hybrid drama Mindanao starring Judy Ann Santos; and the rom-com Write About Love with Miles Ocampo and Rocco Nacino.

How to host your own MMFF Watch party

From your News Feed or timeline, you can start a watch party by following these simple steps:

1. At the top of your News Feed or timeline, click Make Post.
2. Click *** then click Watch Party.
3. Click Add Video. You can search for a video or click a category (example: Watched, Live, Saved, or Suggested) to view additional videos.
4. Click Add to Queue next to any videos you’d like to add to your watch party, then click Done.
5. You can choose to add a description for your watch party, then click Post. You’ll see a message that says “Your Watch Party Is About To Begin.”

Once you’re in the watch party, you can:

• Click the microphone to start a live audio commentary.
• Click Add Video to add additional videos to the queue.
• Click Invite in the bottom left to invite friends to your watch party.
• Click Write something… on the right to chat with others who are in the watch party with you. You can click to add emojis, GIFs, photos or videos to your comments.

To end your watch party, just click *** in the top right of the video, then click End Watch Party.

Once you finish your watch party, a recap will be saved on your timeline as a post, which will show all videos watched during the party along with any comments that were made.
