‘Tisoy’-Affected Families Now 90.7K
A total of 90,749 families or 362,538 persons affected by Typhoon “Tisoy” (international name Kammuri) are now being aided in Central Luzon, Bicol and Eastern Visayas, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Wednesday.
As of 6 p.m. Tuesday, NDRRMC Executive Director Ricardo Jalad said 86,628 families or 345,064 persons are staying inside evacuation centers while 4,121 families, which are equivalent to 17,474 individuals, are being aided outside.
A total of 28 houses were reported damaged in Regions V, VI, and the Caraga, 15 of which are totally damaged and 13 partially damaged.
The NDRRMC also reported that 101,919 families equivalent to 396,042 individuals were pre-emptively evacuated in Bicol, Eastern Visayas, Calabarzon and Mimaropa. (PNA)
