The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) encourages repatriated workers in the construction sector from Saudi Arabia to participate at the government job fair to be held on 25 October 2019 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Apolinario Mabini Hall, DFA Building, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.

Sixteen recruitment agencies will conduct initial screening of applications for a variety of positions, together with ten big DTI-accredited companies including Whiteport Inc., DDT Konstract Inc., EEI Corporation, Meralco Industrial Engineering Services Corporation, Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific Company of Manila Inc., Megawide Construction Corporation, D.M. Wenceslao & Associates Inc., D.M. Consuji Inc., and F.F. Cruz & Company, and POEA-accredited recruitment agencies.

“We continue to extend our hands to those repatriated OFWs, particularly the workers in the construction sector from Saudi Arabi who have been greatly affected by the tragic economic crises that closed down different construction companies in Saudi. For the country and the people, we continue to do our best. We will never cease to provide support and assistance to our nation’s modern-day heroes,” said Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Lou Arriola.

“Job Fair sa DFA 2019” is jointly organized by DFA Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs and other government agencies such as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO) under OWWA, Department of Health (DOH), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP).

More than just a job fair, the event is a showcase of government programs and free medical consultation from DOH for the repatriated OFWs. It aims to give them support while they are still waiting for their claims and benefits from their previous employers in Saudi Arabia. (DFA)
