2 Fire Incidents in Metro Cebu

Two fire incidents rattled the residents of Cebu City and Talisay City today, September 24.

The first fire incident happened in Cabreros st., Barangay Basak San Nicolas in Cebu City at around 8 in the morning.

The Bureau of Fire Protection in Central Visayas (BFP)-7 received the alarm at 8:19 a.m. and it was raised on third alarm at 8:32 a.m.

The fire didn’t last long as it was declared under control at 8:47 a.m. and was fire out at 8:55 a.m.

The fire started in a certain residential area near private school.

Investigation is still on going.

Meanwhile, a warehouse believed to be a butane refilling station caught fire in Sitio Dawis, Barangay San Roque in Talisay City.

Authorities said they received the alarm at 12:30 p.m. but declared under control after 10 minutes.

The Talisay City Fire Department declared fire out at exactly 1 in the afternoon.

Aside from the warehouse, a sports utility vehicle (Montero sports) and another delivery vehicle were also heavily damaged.

No deaths and injuries reported during the fire incident. (MLC)
