Talisay Mayor Meets SK Officials

Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas met with all Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairmen/women in different Barangays in the city to discuss potential projects for the youth.

Mayor Gullas guaranteed that he will help all SK officials and support all programs in their respective areas.

It was known that the mayor already approved the distribution of allowances to SK councilors, secretarties and treasurers.

The said officials will receive P1,500 monthly allowance from the Local Government of Talisay City.

Meanwhile, Gullas said that they are planning to open a new separate bank account intended only for SK funds to implement their activites and programs.

The opening of a new bank account is also part of the Republic Act No. 10742 or the SK Reform Law.

Meanwhile, City Budget Officer Edgar Mabunay on their side will conduct a program to train SK Officials on how to budget disbursed funds from the city.

SK Federation President Madeliene Dela Torre showed her gratitude and pleasure saying that the mayor’s move can finally bring more effective projects and programs for the youth community. (MLC)
