CCCI President Hailed Awardee in Asia HRD Awards

The CCCI congratulates its President, Virgilio “Nonoy” G. Espeleta, for bagging this year’s Movers & Shakers Award in the Asia Human Resources Development (HRD) Awards 2019, a prestigious celebration and recognition of virtuosos whose contribution to people development have impacted society.

The Movers and Shakers award is given to those who have demonstrated accomplishments by actively influencing changes and breakthroughs in people development. They “move” communities by “shaking” existing practices and are pioneers who challenge the status quo and strive for continues development.

Besides being CCCI’s President, Espeleta is also the Founding President and Principal Consultant of FamCor Franchise Management & Executive Development Corporation where he engages in handholding mid-sized, mostly, family-run enterprises to achieve their highest growth potential by crafting and implementing sustainable strategic business roadmaps.

His past and current involvement in companies as independent board of director or business management consultant covers both the family and corporate governance systems in terms of managing or providing guidance to family corporations in the areas of Conflict Prevention, Professionalizing, Succession Planning and Family Board Governance.

Espeleta also advocates for sustainable growth and development of the business sector in Cebu through his initiatives in pushing for innovation and digitalization. He is also known as the “Dean” of the Kapatid Mentor Me Program of DTI for ensuring the substantive course outline of the program and selection of businessmen/entrepreneur mentors from Cebu’s business community.

“In order for us to thrive, you have to really adapt to the new ways of doing business,” Espeleta said on the sidelines during the Cebu Business Month (CBM) 2019 which also embodied innovation as reflected in its theme, “Innovation in Action.”

As of this writing July 16, The Asia HRD awards is currently being held at the Grand Hall of Cyberjaya University College of Medical Science (CUCMS) Campus in Malaysia.
