26 Nutrition HRH Set to Improve CV’s NutSit

NNCR7 HRH for NutritionCebu City – Twenty-Six (26) Human Resource for Health (HRH) under the Nutrition Deployment Program took oath last 02 July 2019 at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

Twenty (20) Nutritionist – Dietitians and six (6) nurses pledged their commitments during the said event presided by no other than the Regional Director of DOH CHD 7, Dr. Jaime S. Bernadas together with the guest of honor, DOH Assistant Secretary for Visayas and Mindanao, Dr. Abdullah Dumama Jr.

The deployment of the twenty-six (26) HRH for Nutrition is part of Director Bernadas commitment to help improve the nutrition situation throughout the region. Director Bernadas is also the Chair of the Regional Nutrition Committee. The HRH for Nutrition Deployment is set to help their assigned LGUs in reducing the number of stunted, underweight and wasted children in their respective areas, improving interagency coordination of efforts to address malnutrition which will in turn bring about positive health outcomes.

Covering 55 LGUs in the region, these “nutrition officers” as dubbed by National Nutrition Council Regional Program Coordinator Dr. Parolita A. Mission are challenged to put up functional, pro-active and sustainable local nutrition committees.

The twenty (20) Nutritionist – Dietitian (ND) are Amahit, Lyneth; Añasco, Annie Claire; Caayaman, Teresito III; Calumpang, Shaira Vita; Delos Santos, Reynaldo; Estrada, Donna Mae; FIlamor, Juan Viktor; Labastida, Shaira Camille; Luce, Raya Faith; Ontina, Franz; Pacatang, Chutsvieka May; Palaca, Julie Vannie; Pausanos, Geraldine; Romero, Niña Estela; Salado, Suzette; Sentillas, Lawrence; Serion, Delia; Sucalit, Gabe Henriel; Tugaoen, Jhianne Mae; and Zamora, Rodney. The 6 Nurses (RN) are Anfone, Honey Rose; Bargamento, Dave; Danila, Honey Lyn; Flores, Maya; Hernandez, James Adrian Kevin; and Ybanez, Jamine.

The 26 Nutrition HRH were part of the one thousand eight hundred fifty (1,850) Human Resource for Health who took their oaths during the formal ceremony. (DFB)
