DAR 7 Approves P11.4m Farm Machineries, Equipment
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Region 7 formally signed a contract of procurement with service providers for the implementation of projects worth P11.43 million at DAR 7 Regional Office, Cebu City on May 20, 2019.
The farm machineries and equipment will benefit the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in Central Visayas under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project (CRFPSP).
During the contract signing, DAR-7 through Regional Director Engr. Marion Y. Abella, CESO V, entered into a formal agreement with Ford Tractor Philippines Inc. through Branch Manager Vivian C. Tomoy for a contract of P3.144 M for the three units of 35 HP four-wheel drive tractors.
Suki Trading Corporation Sales and Marketing Head, Albert M. dela Torre signed a contract price of P4.179 M of three units Corn Husher Sheller; two units Mechanical Rice Transplanter, one unit Portable Feed Mill , 12 units Mechanical Reapers, three units Multi-Cultivator Hand Sugarcane Cultivator and one unit Coffee Parchment Huller Machine.
Service provider P.I. Farm Products, Inc. led by its representative Ma. Aurora B. Ardina also signed a contract for P 3.156 M for one unit 35 HP Tractor, 12 units Hand Tractor, three units of Floating Tiller and three units Mechanical Rice Thresher.
Also, the Universal Commercial Corporation as represented by Jonese S. Osia signed a contract price of P0.96 M for four units of Shredder.
Director Abella said that DAR will continue to provide support services that could help improve the lives of their beneficiaries.
CRFPSP delivery is DAR’s efforts in providing these farm machineries and equipment that will increase farm productivity and will benefit farmer-members of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations.
