Lanao Norte Electric COOP Holds 47th Foundation Anniversary

Lanao del Norte Electric Cooperative (LANECO) celebrated its brand of service across the years as it conducted its 43rd Annual General Membership Assembly and 47th Foundation Anniversary on May 26 at Mindanao Civic Center Gymnasium, Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

A total of 12,910 member-consumer-owners attended the event.

This year’s theme “Preserving the gains of Rural Electrification Program,” focuses on the accomplishments of LANECO in the last 47 years.

LANECO has been giving service to the Province of Lanao del Norte through its Rural Electrification Program with strong partnership of the National Electrification Administration (NEA) and the support from its empowered member-consumer-owners.

Guest speaker Atty. Vicar Loreen G. Lofranco, Deputy Administrator for EC Management Services of NEA highlighted the gains of NEA and its long term goal (AMBISYON2040) in fulfilling the primary mandate of the agency, Total Electrification in the countryside, through the support of LANECO as one of its partners in the program.

She also said that NEA Administrator Edgardo R. Masongsong extended his congratulations and felicitations to LANECO as it has reached greater heights in the past four decades despite the existing threats and challenges in the power sector and remains steadfast in performing all aspects in the Rural Electrification Program.

Meanwhile, LANECO extended its gratitude to all working committees, all of its sponsors and partners in the success of this event and not to mention the active participation of the attending member-consumer-owners from the different districts within its coverage area. (LANECO/PIA LDN)
