Globe Telecom participated at the Asia Pacific Pay TV Operators Summit (APOS) 2019 next month. This annual event gathering key global, local and regional brands across media, telecommunications, entertainment and sports, took place at the Ayana Resort in Bali, Indonesia last April 23 to 25, 2019.
The telco giant participated anew as an Associate Sponsor, strengthening its position as a premier content creator and distributor in the Philippines.
Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu shared the company’s plans of building the perfect content ecosystem for a growing mobile economy. Cu participated in a panel discussion where he also talked about initiatives in combating online piracy in the Philippines with the Globe #PlayItRight advocacy.
“Being at APOS is a significant opportunity for us to share with other key regional players our success in the mobile business, our passion for local content, and our shared interests in battling online piracy that adversely affects our industry,” said Cu.
Cu was joined by Globe Senior Vice President of Product Management and Content Business Nikko Acosta and Senior Advisor at Globe Entertainment, Joe Caliro. Acosta discussed how to monetize owned and partner content, measuring success, and how Globe continuously keeps its customers engaged. Caliro then shared how Globe creates and distributes digital content under its Creative Marketing & Multimedia Business arm.
