Cebu City Celebrates Asong Pinoy Day
Department of Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries (DVMF) in partnership with the Island Rescue Organization (IRO) celebrated Asong Pinoy Day in honor of aspins or “asong pinoy” at the Plaza Sugbu on June 23, 2019.
The event offered free veterinary services such as anti-rabies vaccination, deworming, and vitamin supplementation.
There were also different contests held in the one day event.
One of the highlights was the adopt-a-dog program were rescued dogs would be adopted by new owners that can take care of them.
Asong Pinoy Day is an annual event that celebrates the “aspin” or asong pinoy, showcasing our beloved aspins and to educate owners that they also need love and care. (ASC)
