Apology
How do I make things right when I have hurt someone?
“Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.” Matthew 5:23-24
“I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,” Luke 15:18
Although making amends for an offense may be difficult, your relationships with others are worth your immediate and diligent efforts. “I’m sorry” are two very important words. When you have hurt someone, apologize as quickly as possible and make any needed restitution. Forgiveness is powerful because it frees both sides from grievances and bitterness.
