Tagum Cuts Business Permit Processing to Just 3 Steps
Tagum City, Davao del Norte – Businesses in Tagum City has the reason to be merry this season as the City Government cuts down the business permit process from five to only three steps starting January 2017.
Mayor Allan Rellon disclosed earlier today during the Tagum Biz Talk at Big 8 that it will take for the businesspersons not more than three hours to get their permit.
Mayor Rellon identified the steps as check and assessment, payment at the City Treasury and final review and approval.
He said that he is also planning to give the authority to the head of the Business Permit and Licensing Office the authority to sign the permits but added, “this still have to be reviewed by our legal office.”
According to the Business Permit and Licensing Division, the city approved 8,063 permits as of October 2016.
The mayor said that they are doing this as they are inspired by the awards they garnered relevant to business processing.
For this year, Tagum City garnered third place in third Place in the Best in Business Empowerment Award, Government to Business Category (G2B); and 9th place in the Most Competitive Component City in the country. (PIA11, Michael Uy)
