The southwest monsoon or hangin habagat will continue to bring rains to southern Luzon Wednesday, state weather bureau Philippine, Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its 5:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the agency said the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon and Calabarzon will have light to moderate rains and thunderstorms brought by cloudy skies.

PAGASA noted light to moderate rains will also prevail over the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Northern Palawan.

Other parts of the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the bureau said light to moderate winds from the southwest to southeast will prevail over Palawan and Western Visayas.

Other areas will have light to moderate winds blowing from the south to southeast.

PAGASA added the coastal waters of the country will be slight to moderate. (PNA) JMC/JLD
