Kalibo, Aklan — The Commission on Election (COMELEC) announces that it is prohibiting playing of the famous Pokemon Go in precincts for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

Rommel Benliro, COMELEC-Kalibo chief, said that they are now in the thick of preparations for the upcoming polls this October.

“I am aware that there is now an ongoing Pokemon Craze being played in the mobile game by young people and professionals. I hope that they will not be playing Pokemon while voting inside their respective voting precincts,” he said.

Meanwhile, Benliro confirmed reports that they have delisted some 742 voters. This after they had discovered these voters in Kalibo had previously registered in various municipalities in the country.(PNA) BNB/AJP/JNAGUIRRE/LPT
