PAGASA: ‘Carina’ Out, But Monsoon to Bring Rains Over Luzon, Western Visayas
Tropical storm “Carina” has exited the country but the southwest monsoon or habagat will continue to bring rains over Luzon and western Visayas on Tuesday, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its advisory, PAGASA said the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Mindoro and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms.
The areas affected by the monsoon rains were alerted to possible flash floods and landslides.
Moderate to strong winds will blow from southwest to south over Luzon and western Visayas. Fisherfolk were warned of moderate to rough seas over the seaboards of northern Luzon and the eastern seaboard of central Luzon.
In Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and western Visayas, cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms is expected. (PNA) JMC/MCCA
