Tourist Dies While Taking Photo in Machu Picchu

The body of a German tourist was recovered from the bottom of a cliff in Machu Picchu.

The man, Oliver Park, 51, lost footing while taking a photo of himself in a restricted area in Machu Picchu. Park was said to have ignored saftey signs and warnings from wardens when he proceeded to the restricted area.

Rescuers found his body on Thursday and was taken to a police station.
