Suspected Big-time Drug Pusher in Cebu, 2 Others, Killed in Getafe, Bohol Raid
A suspected big-time drug pusher in Cebu City was killed together with his two cohorts while another was wounded in a shootout with raiding policemen Friday afternoon in Banakon Island in Getafe, Bohol.
Police identified the slain suspected drug trafficker as Rowen “Yawa” Torrefiel Secretaria, who had established residences in both Banakon, Getafe and in Barangay Ermita in Cebu City.
Secretaria’s two cohorts were still unidentified. The one who was wounded was identified as Ricardo Postolana, 26, of Calituban Island, Talibon, Bohol.
Police said Secretaria eluded arrest in an anti-drug operation in 2013, but was killed in a shootout with operatives from the Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group (RAIDSOTG) 7 and a team from Getafe Police Station at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Secretaria, believed to be a level 3 drug pusher, was the subject of a warrant of arrest in a 2013 operation that yielded Php3.5 million worth of shabu.
Operatives from the RAIDSOTG 7 stormed the area after they received a tip that Secretaria was hiding there.
Senior Insp. Joey Bicoy of RAIDSOTG 7 headed the operation with Getafe Police Station Chief Marcelino Mejias.
Mejias said a resident saw Secretaria during the island’s fiesta last Monday and informed them where he was.
When they tried to serve the warrant, the suspects opened fire.
Police also seized a KG-9 machine pistol, a .45 pistol and a .38 revolver. (PNA) SCS/EB/SSC
