Easterlies To Bring Fair Weather Tuesday
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is projecting fair weather on Tuesday due to easterlies which is now the dominant weather system affecting the country
“Except for isolated thunderstorms we’ll have fair weather for the entire country and also within next three days,” PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurello told PNA.
In effect, the fair weather forecast also leads to non-issuance of the gale warning, which allows fishermen to venture into the seas.
He noted the easterlies or warm winds from the east no affect the eastern section of the country.
Aurelio said that the northeast monsoon has receded but is expected to return on Wednesday.
He also said that no weather disturbance seen near the Philippine Area of Responsibility that may develop into a tropical cyclone within the next two to three days.
For Tuesday forecast, partly cloudy to cloudy skies will prevail over the whole country with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly over the eastern section.
It added moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
The state-run weather bureau has not issued a gale warning as fisherfolk are safe to venture into the seas. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
