Cebuana Lois Kaye Go’s putting left her in the second round as she fell seven shots off the leader in the second round Thursday of the Philippine Ladies Open Golf Championship in Tagaytay.

The 16-year-old Go, who plays for Cebu Country Club, had a miserable 78 in round two and drop two 148, seven shots off new leader Princess Superal.

Go, who scored 70 in the first round for a one stroke lead over Superal, lost the lead early with two bogeys in the first four holes. In contrast, Superal, the former US Junior Girls Open champion, had four straight pars to bag the lead.

“I was hitting well but was putting real bad. I hit 15 greens but I had 38 putts,” Go said.

“I wasn’t able to make any birdies and had three bogey-putts,” Go said.

Aside from the leader, Go also trails Yuka Saso and Mikhaela Fortuna, who are both at 145.

Go also had four more bogeys in a seven-hole stretch, putting her at fourth place with only a round to go in the 54-hole ladies open championships. (PNA) LGI/EB/MP/PJN
