DAR Turns Over P2.2 M Worth Of Farm Equipment In Cebu
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently turned over common service facilities (CSFs) in Cebu to improve the quality of farming lives of the agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in the province.
Regional Director Alejandro S. Otacan said the facilities include hand tractors worth P1,453,088 and 10-horsepowered floating tillers worth P772,501.
“These CSFs, provided under the Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services (ARCCESS) Project of the DAR, will benefit the farmers from identified Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs),” Otacan said.news national pix 2 oct. 8 2015
ARCCESS is an alternative rural development approach wherein support services provided by the DAR are delivered directly to selected agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations.
Assistant Regional Director Antonio del Socorro who signed the acceptance of farm facilities, said the machineries would help increase the farmers’ crop yields and ease their tasks in upgrading the quality of their yields.
Among other DAR officials who were present during the turnover ceremony were Assistant Regional Director for Administration, Grace B. Fua, Regional Chief for Administration Andrea Paciana S. Labra, Regional Adjudicator Rosalio T. Kintanar. (Rosanna Gay S. Visitacion)
