Volkswagen California Camper Van Unveiled
Volkswagen has just unveiled the spanking new California variant of the Transporter T6.
The California Ocean comes with a full kitchen, can sleep up to four people, and in terms of driving experience, you will be able to enjoy it a whole lot more thanks to updated engineering and cautious modernization.
You will be able to choose from a couple of VW California models – the “Ocean” and the other is the “Beach”.
The Ocean model boasts of an electrohydraulic pop-up roof as well as dimmable LED lighting in the roof and tailgate, a 42-liter (11 gal) fridge, a twin-burner stove, and a stainless steel sink. The German automaker has also thrown in a combination cup, ashtray and towel holder. Safety features include a Driver Alert System which is capable of figuring out unusual steering patterns that might point to driver fatigue, before it advises the driver to take a break, whereas Brake Assist will apply full braking pressure in emergencies; and Automatic Post-Collision Braking that activates the brakes during an accident so that there will be no secondary collisions.
No word on pricing details as of this press time.
