(GBI), the premiere importer and distributor of high-end housewares in the Philippines, Ambiance, in its soft opening, kicks off a display of a select of these innovative and functional products created by their partner international brands. Internationally-renowned brand names like Umbra, Chilewich, LSA International, JIA Inc. and Flux are just some of the world-class labels you can initially find in the store, the first of GBI and only store outside Manila. “We promote more of the brands than ourselves. We decided to open the retail and showroom store for our Cebuano clients and clients coming from other neighboring provinces here,” Rich King Teh said, Director of GBI. GBI started in 1999 and has been the company behind accentuating known establishments in the country. It has reached a great number of 50 brands of modern and contemporary home decorations and accessories distributed locally . Their prime clients include luxury hotels and casino, high-end malls, boutiques, hardware and department stores that cater to the A and B market. To name a few of their clientele are True Value, Handyman, Rustans, Dimensione, Shangri-La Hotels in Manila, National Bookstore and Ayala Malls. GBI started with gardening equipments and Do-It-Yourself (DIY) accessories then slowly added housewares. The company is also the distributor of Philips Home Lighting.
