The Ancient Paths | Who Created All These?
This was part of a series of meditations on God’s Word by the author, which she has entitled “The Ancient Paths.”
“Thus says the Lord,
“Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths,
Where the good way is, and walk in it;
And you will find rest for your souls”-Jeremiah 6:16
The meditations in this series are my own personal compilation of Bible verses expressing spiritual truths that come from God’s wisdom, not in words taught by human wisdom but in spiritual words taught by the Spirit.
Together with each topic are my original paintings which are visual expositions inspired by these Bible verses.
It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit may use this series to draw you near, open your understanding, lead you into the presence of God, and inspire you to create your own expositions through your life and works that will shed light to others and bring glory to the Almighty God who is worthy of all honor and glory.
May I invite you then, to walk with me along the good way, the ancient paths, that will bring peace, wisdom, direction, purpose, security and true riches.
WHO CREATED ALL THESE?
“Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. And God made two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also and God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.

“To whom then will you liken Me
That I would be his equal?” says the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes on high
And see who has created these stars,
The One who leads forth their host by number,
He calls them all by name;
Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power,
Not one of them is missing.
“But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you;
And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you.
“Or speak to the earth, and let it teach you;
And let the fish of the sea declare to you.
“Who among all these does not know
That the hand of the Lord has done this,
Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
For He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast.
‘Ah Lord God! Behold,
You have made the heavens and the earth
by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm!
Nothing is too difficult for You,
Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
Praise Him in the heights!
Praise Him, all His angels;
Praise Him, all His hosts!
