Teleperformance Refurbishes Public School Classrooms
Teleperformance, the worldwide leader in outsourced omnichannel customer experience management services, recently embarked on rehabilitating several public elementary and secondary schools across the country in support of the annual school clean-up program, “Brigada Eskwela” of the Department of Education (DepEd).
Nearly 300 employees from Teleperformance Philippines volunteered in the renovation of 29 public elementary and secondary school classrooms in various communities in Metro Manila, Baguio, Bacolod, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and Davao. The schools visited by Teleperformance include SSS Village Elementary School in Marikina City, Lucban Elementary School in Baguio City, Emiliano Lizares National High School in Bacolod City, Tiltilon Elementary School in Liloan, Cebu, Kamakawan Elementary School in Cagayan de Oro City and Biao Elementary School in Davao City.
The participating employees from Teleperformance devoted a total of 1,769 volunteer hours for this year’s Brigada Eskwela program. Through combined effort, the team was able to repaint a total of 29 classrooms and refurbish 2,500 chairs and 250 tables. The teams also used vibrant color schemes in repainting the classrooms and chairs to make them more conducive to learning and to inspire creativity among students who will return to school this June.
This is the fourth year that Teleperformance has participated in Brigada Eskwela. This company-wide effort was made possible through the Citizen of the World, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Teleperformance.
Teleperformance Philippines continues to promote employee volunteerism among its 40,000 employees to support the company’s CSR activities, including building houses, planting trees, cleaning rivers, conducting blood donation and relief operations, tending the sick and the elderly, and pursuing other community enrichment programs.
