TD Surigae Intensifies into Severe Tropical Storm

Tropical Depression Surigae is now a Severe Tropical Storm according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

As of 10:00 AM today, the center of Severe Tropical Storm Surigae is last spotted 1,095 kilometers East of Mindanao, outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Surigae is moving westward at 10 kph with maximum sustained winds of 95 kph near its center.

PAGASA forecasts Surigae to enter PAR on Friday, April 16, 2021.

Surigae will be named Bising after it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility. (ASC)
