Talisay City to Conduct Earthquake drills
The Talisay City and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) will conduct an earthquake drill in schools and other establishments in the city on June 20th.
It was known that Talisay City has 2 fault lines and could be dangerous.
Authorities from CDRRMO wanted to ensure everyone’s safety to control and lessen the casualties in case of an earthquake or other calamities.
Head of the CDRRMO Alvin Santillana said that they are serious and wanted to push the earthquake drill as soon as possible especially in schools since students spend most of the their time there.
Meawnhile, SF01 Guiller Pegarido told teachers and other officials that they should be observant all the time and must be the first one to lead their colleagues to safety.
Pegarido pointed out that this drill is very important and strategic to gain advantage in case of an emergency. (MLC)
