Russian Scientists Develop Smartphone Nanosensor to Diagnose Cancer
Moscow (PNA/Sputnik) — According to a statement by the ministry, released on Monday, the ultracompact sensor, developed at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology’s Laboratory of Nanooptics and Plasmonics, can detect tumor markers long before all other existing conventional methods.
Its high sensitivity and ease of production, combined with its miniature dimensions, enables the sensor to be used in portable devices, such as smartphones and wearable electronics, the ministry added.
The sensor also allows doctors to detect viruses, including HIV and hepatitis. (PNA/Sputnik) LGI/SSC
