Right Motives Lead to Success

As I consider my plans for the upcoming months, how can I be sure that I have the right motives in the activities I am considering?

“Search me, God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.” Psalm 139:23

“A person may think their own ways are right,
    but the Lord weighs the heart.” Proverbs 21:2

People often get stressed out because they have committed on activities and responsibilities for the wrong intentions. As we consider future involvements, it’s good to ask God to help us do things with the right motives, and to reveal to us any area which have wrong intentions or rather, are less than pure. With that understanding, we will know better which activities we should to commit to, and which ones we should say no to.
