Philippines Tourism Board Seeks Airline Partner to Sponsor their Web Site, ThePhilippines.com
The Philippines Tourism Board, which produces ThePhilippines.com, the most popular online destination for both foreigners and local Filipinos that are interested in taking a vacation in the Philippines, is looking for an airline partner to sponsor their web site.
Every month, more than 100,000 tourists visit ThePhilippines.com looking for information about hotels, resorts, flights, tourist attractions, restaurants, and more. The web site’s official Facebook page has more than 254,000 fans and followers.
Dante Lee, founder of the organization and web site, comments, “During the past two years, we met several times with Philippines Airlines and their digital advertising agency, Carat, but a sponsorship deal has not been secured.”
He says that they are now moving on to other airlines that might be interested – like Cebu Pacific Air, Air Asia, Japan Airlines, and even US-based Delta Airlines. (All of these airlines have daily flights to Manila and other destinations in the Philippines.)
Lee adds, “We want to partner with an airline that understands the value of our web site’s reach. We have the biggest online audience of travelers who are interested in taking vacations in the Philippines, period. We can easily influence their decision on which airline is the best and safest to fly.”
Other partners and sponsors for ThePhilippines.com include Trivago.com, TripAdvisor.com, El Nido Resorts, and Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
