PAGASA: Flood, Landslide Warnings Up in VisMin Monday Morning

State weather agency said they raised flash flood and landslide warnings in parts of Visayas and Mindanao Monday morning in anticipation of heavy rains.

In its bulletin, PAGASA said the trough of a low pressure area (LPA) off Mindanao may bring moderate to occasionally heavy rain over Leyte and Bohol, and over Caraga and Northern Mindanao. It added that the anticipated heavy rain “may trigger possible flash floods and landslides.

PAGASA added that residents in these areas and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils concerned are advised to take appropriate action.

PAGASA also said the rest of Visayas will be cloudy with light to moderate rain.
