P190-M Worth of Shabu Nabbed in 2 Buy-Bust Ops in Cebu
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office VII (PDEA RO VII) and Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) nabbed 28 kilos of suspected shabu in two separate buy-bust operations on Sunday, March 3, 2019.
Around 1 am, a buy-bust operation was launched in Fatima Homes, Brgy. Inayawan, Cebu City where they arrested the 24 year old suspect Elymar Ancajas in possession of 18 kilos of suspected shabu.
Ancajas then told police where he got the drugs which led to the police to conduct another buy-bust operation in Consolacion town in Cebu.
An undercover cop was ordered to pose as a buyer and went to Jocelyn Encila, the suspected supplier of Ancajas.
Encila then instructed the undercover cop to go her parent’s house to complete the transaction as she was in the hospital from severe dehydration.
Around 3:00 am, the operatives then proceeded to Barangay Pitogo, Consolacion to meet with . Encila’s parents, Marcial Encila, 60, and Marilyn Encila, 51. Immediately after the transaction transpired operatives proceeded to arrest the suspects.
In the second buy-bust operation, police recovered 10 kilos of suspected shabu in the possession of Marcial and Marilyn Encila.
28 kilos of suspected shabu was recovered in two separate buy-bust operations with an estimated value of P190,000,000.
Suspects will face charges in violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (ASC)
